Bio: Achilles used to be agisted at Oakwood and when his owner had a change of lifestyle, Oakwood decided that he would be a very suitable school horse and he hasn’t looked back. He is extremely popular with everyone that rides him.

Bio: Benson came to Oakwood shortly before the move to the Meadows, straight from the race track. He is no longer the sleek racehorse but a well muscled and calm schoolie making him very versatile. He can also jump very well.

Bio: Boston was very green when he first arrived and quite a nervous horse. Now, he goes so well that he teaches beginner riders and tends to win our School Horse of the Year Competition every year!

Bio: Jay has been at the new Oakwood since we opened. He was agisted here for many years and when his owners decided to look for a new home for him, we were delighted to welcome him into the Oakwood family as a full time Schoolie. Jay is a super gentle horse, ideal for beginner riders.

Bio: Mo is a very lovely chunky Clydie cross. Although young he has a very willing temperament and is showing great promise. Mo is proving to be a very popular horse here at Oakwood!

Bio: Dave is a super gentle horse, always wanting to please his riders. New to Oakwood in 2020, he fit right in as a schoolie. Dave has done lots of pony club and competing before he came to us.

Bio: Benni came to Oakwood in 2021 along with Chip after his rider had sadly outgrown him. Benni is incredibly friendly and always looking for love. He is super sweet and gentle for our beginner riders but also a keen jumper!

Bio: Sherman is unique in colour (bay roan tobiano) and in personality - a gentle, stand out guy who loves love! Sherman is a cruisy kind of horse with comfortable paces that all riders enjoy and feel safe on. He is suited to our riders who are advancing their skills in flat work and jumping.

Bio: On recommendation by one of our instructors, Teddy came to Oakwood on a one week trial. He is a willing learner, and has a sweet nature. He is also very versatile in that both novice and experienced riders can ride him.

Bio: Tony is a very pretty horse, whose racing name was Tortoise – no wonder he was too slow to race!! He then had the unenviable task of teaching jockeys to ride. Now he likes nothing better than the rider getting into forward seat and encouraging him forward around the arena.
